My name is Marcel Louncke, and I am representative of a slaughterhouse based in Belgium. On this website we present you our offer of meat originating from Belgium. We slaughter each week between 30 and 35 000 pigs, cows and domestic birds for export. QUALITY BEEF FROM FLANDERS Breeding programmes aimed at improving the slaughtering qualities of certain races have led to the production of animals showing natural evidence of strong muscular development (so-called culard). These animals represent a real example if not scientific specialization in a "modern" way in order to achieve carcasses with a high meat content and low in fat. BELGIAN PORK FROM FLANDERS Along with Denmark and Holland, Belgium is one of the major exporters of pork. With production at approximatively 1.000.000 tonnes of meat, the pork sector is one of the mainstays of Belgian animal husbandry. As a result of the excellent slaughter yield and ham and rib yield many abattoirs and cutting companies have obtained a firm foothold on the international market. This has been achieved through the combination of a quality product with a modern service. |
